Music

We are known for our strong music ministry, which features our talented choir, bell choir, choristers, guest soloists, and a string quartet.

  • Adult Choir – The main choir at St. Thomas meets on Thursday evenings from 7:15 pm to 8:30 pm in the choir room. We lead the congregation in musical worship at the 10:30 am worship service and additional holy day services throughout the year. The choir also ministers to the parish singing at funerals, weddings, special concerts or other liturgies as needed. If you enjoy four-part singing or would like to learn to sing with the choir, please join us. No audition is required!
  • Handbell Choir – Handbell Choir is open to ringers age 14 and up. Some prior musical knowledge is a plus. If you played an instrument as a student, you’ll do fine! We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm in the balcony of the church.
  • Children’s Choir – Singing in a church choir is a very important form of service to the parish community. The choir’s singing helps raise the prayers of the people at worship and draws us closer to God. Music and singing are also integral parts of every child’s development. Learning to read music improves language comprehension and math skills. Choral singing also strengthens social skills and self-expression. They rehearse Sundays from 5:00-6:00 PM (3rd-5th grade).
  • 2013 AG3200 Ahlbom-Galantgi hybrid organ installed in balcony. Classic design with 8 ranks of pipes, custom casework, and wooden keyboards. Drake processor with 376 programmable voices. 62 total speaking stops.
